In 1978, florist Alfredo Tilli was invited by the Holambra Cooperative to teach the very first Floral Art course in Brazil — marking the beginning of a floral education tradition that would shape the entire country.
Tilli was also a pioneer in the study of this art form. As he taught new florists, he realized how much more there was to learn. Through American books and international courses, he brought new references and influences to Brazil, building a legacy through his own institution, the Escola de Arte Floral Alfredo Tilli.
In the 1990s, Paulo Perissoto and Tanus Saab became his students. The two formed a lasting friendship, and after years of dedicated study and hands-on experience in the floral market, they became partners.
From that partnership, the Escola Brasileira de Arte Floral was born — located in Holambra, in the state of São Paulo, offering professional floral courses, event decoration programs, and workshops led by internationally renowned floral artists.
